Double Exposure
Picture #2
For this image I chose to use a painting with light photo and a studio portrait of Luke. They relate compositionally because both feature light as a major component of the image. To merge these photos I cut out the picture of Luke from a different picture and placed it on top of the painting with light photo. To make the layers merge so that they blended together nicely I reduced the opacity of both images. These images, although by themselves do not relate, do create a flowing picture when combined. This double exposure relays the concept of the overlapping, crossing paths of the thoughts in a person's mind.
