In-Class Motion
The image I chose for fast shutter speed was my first picture. In order to freeze the action the camera was on a setting of about 1/100. I also changed the white balance on the camera so it would adjust in order to let the right amount of light in. The white balance was on cloudy. The action that was frozen was Jake kicking his leg while I was bending backwards away from his foot. The photo was taken from only about 5-10 feet away and it was taken at a slight angle. The line at the bottom of the bleachers strengths the photo and it also kind of follows the rule of thirds. Also, the sky is negative space in the image. Many different lines are shown in this picture.
The image I chose for slow shutter speed was the last photo. The shutter speed was at about 1/5 to capture the blur. Jake jumping in the air shows the blur in the picture while I am not blurry because I was not in motion. This photo was taken at a distance of about 5 feet away. The point of view was straight on. The line in the football ball field follows the rule of thirds along with myself standing there. The bleachers also follows the rule of thirds. There is contrast with the sky and the ground and there is pattern with the lines in the football field. Lastly the texture in the turf makes the image stronger.
