Truss Design:
For this project we had to use balsa wood as a design for a truss. The objective in this project was too hold the most weight and our specific goal was 200 lbs. We succeeded in this goal and we had the 2nd strongest truss in our class, woohoo. It was a knowledgeable experience and my partner and I learned a lot about creating designs and how sometimes putting in a lot of time pays off! The procedure of creating this went something like this:
1. Thought long and hard about what kind of design for the truss would work the best
2. Agreed on a design
3. Created the top and bottom of the truss by ripping wood
4. Started cutting out the balsa wood
5. Glued in the balsa wood
6. Finished up the top and bottom
7. Had a mighty truss to try and defeat any weight enemies

8 Foot Bridge Project
This project was an especially hard project where we had to think a lot. The purpose of the project was to create an 8 foot bridge that would be able to handle the weight of our whole team. Again just like the truss project we had to think, think, think and create a design for the bridge. We agreed on creating an archbridge! We attempted a pre-test, with myself putting weight on one truss and it broke. We would then dial back to the start and create a new design for the arch. This project is not yet finished, but hopefully will very soon
